Why do some people work harder? Is it always a good thing to work hard?

My essay:

It is true that some people are hard-working and addictive while others prefer no need to boost themselves, and there are several reasons for these trend. I believe that hard work is a good action, but too much work can be counterproductive and unhealthy.

On the one hand, there are three main reasons to encourage people to work harder. Firstly, some people work extra time to get more money. They believe that with the extra money, they can buy what they and their families need. Secondly, new employed people work for long hours to complete the timetable set by the employer if they do not want to be laid off. They scare that their employer may replace their seat with more hard-working people. Finally, too much people that are very addicted to their career and work. They work overtime and do not care about their families in order to achieve their dreams and earn as much money as they can.

On the other hand, people who work hard may easily get mistake and face serious problems at the workplace or at home. For example, people doing long works are more likely to fail because of the work pressure. As a result, they make huge loss to their company and lose job. Moreover, due to working over load or working overtime, people can not have enough time for their families.

In conclusion, it is true that hard work helps people to achieve their goals and earn more money. However, working hard is never a good choice because of the pressure.
