Why didn't you tell me about that until now?

Dear teachers,
Can I say like this?:

Situation : Jack broke the eye glasses of his father 2 days ago, but he dared not tell his father that he broke it . Now his father wants to use the glasses and Jack tells him the truth that he broke it 2 days ago .

Jack : Sorry Dad. I broke your glasses 2 days ago.
Dad : Why didn't you tell me about that until now?You should have told me about that right after you broke it.

When saying "Why didn't you tell me about that until now?" I mean " why didn't you tell me
about that right after you broke the glasses?" Is this the correct way to say ?

Thank you in advance

Your grammar is fine ('until' seems logically odd, though). A native might make it shorter: Situation : Jack broke his father's eyeglasses 2 days ago, but he dared not tell his father that he broke them . Now his father wants to use the glasses , and Jack tells him the truth.

  • Jack : Sorry , Dad.
  • I broke your glasses 2 days ago.
