Why did you come here

Hello...

If someone visits me, and I need to ask him why he visited me...
Which is the usual and normal expression?

Or, maybe there is no difference?

Thanks a lot, BarbaraPA!!

The situation was in the drama Big Bang Therory.

A man was arrested in the police station and he did not notify his girlfriend the situation.
But the girlfriend managed to find out and visited him there.
Then, the man said, "Why did you come here?"

What I'd like to know is the difference of nuance or meaning between Why did you come h

In that situation, it makes no difference at all.

Americans use either simple past (did you come) and present perfect (have you come) in situations like that. Our other English-speaking friends will almost always use the present perfect.

Note that BBT is a comedy, not a drama.
