Why are words like player, singer, dancer considered as nouns not adjectives?

Even they show a quality/attribute of something.

Also what kinda nouns are these nouns called?

The verb was apparently the first word coined in the language, that is, play, sing, dance, etc. And the standard way of making these nouns was to add "-er". Note that most nouns in English can be used adjectivally, so you can get a noun and an adjective out of one word, for example: I have a player piano in my living room.
