Alex John I have both Oxford advanced and phrasal verbs dictionary but in phrasal verbs dictionary, there are more phrasal verbs for each verb than Oxford advanced learner's dictionary (and also in Longman contemporary dictionary). Why? It seems to me that for a dictionary of phrasal verbs there would be an effort to include as many phrasal verbs as possible, even those that aren't used often.

Alex JohnWhy?Phrasal verbs are multitudinous. A dictionary the size of the Advanced Learner's (only about 7500 words, I think) is not compendious enough to include so many phrasal verbs.
