why?

Hi,

I was looking at this part of Isaiah 65:12 of the Bible and was wondering why all "thes."

I will destine you for the sword, and you will all bend down for the slaughter;...

The language of the Bible is old and poetic. You can't expect to learn modern English using the Bible as your model.
