Whose, the x of which—comma

Hello,

Are both of these sentences correct:

"This the car whose color I like."

"This the car the color of which I like."

I found the second sentence written with a comma before 'the'—is that correct? I just feel like that the 'the' makes it a restrictive clause; therefore, there shouldn't be a comma in either of those sentences, am I right?

Thank you in advance

Sentence #1 is unnatural. I cannot imagine I would ever say that. Sentence #2 is ungrammatical and also unnatural.

No. You have to add "is":

"This is the car whose color I like."

"This is the car the color of which I like."

Be aware that these are only "practice exercise" sentences. They illustrate a grammatical point, but they are not likely to be used in real, everyday conversations.
