Whomever or Whoever?

Hi all,

I can't decide whether to use whomever or whoever in this sentence?

"My years of experience could be a valuable and cost effective addition to whoever you hire and an asset to your team."

Grammatically, it should be "whomever."

The sentence does not make much sense to me.

If you are applying for a job, why would you mention someone else that the company would hire?
