Whom or not?

This is the girl ----- I met on Thursday.

A) whom
B) -------

Which one is suitable for the blank above? Should I use whom or leave a blank? And I need a brief explanation for this question.

Thank you very much.

Traditionally, whom is the correct choice. Because it sometimes sounds stuffy (depending on the audience), most people just leave it out.

You can leave it out because it is not the subject of the relative clause (cf. I met someone who is just like me, where who is obligatory), and I advise that you do so because whom would sound just plain silly there.
