Grammar

'Whom' object of a predicate.

Hi,

She paid the man whom  she  had hired.

'Whom' is the object of predicate. But, do we mean the predicate of the main clause or the predicate of the adjective clause.

I know they are the same, but when we say 'whom' is the object of predicate, which one we mean?

Thanks.
