Whole point of cinematic imagery

Hi.

I was reading a text about 3-D movies and ran into the following pargraph, and I could not understand "of two screens of stereoscopic 3D film with 3D Ambisonic sound". can you help me?

"On May 7, 2009 the British Film Institute commissioned a 3D film installation. The film Radio Mania: An Abandoned Work consists of two screens of stereoscopic 3D film with 3D Ambisonic sound. It stars Kevin Eldon and is by British artists Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard."

Also I cant understandthis sentence :

"The whole point of cinematic imagery is it's three-dimensional"

Regards.
