Whoever vs. Whomever

Please help solve the problem that I have come across.

________left this behind will certainly come looking for it soon.

(A) Whoever

(B) Whomever

(C) Whosever

(D) Who

The answer on my book says (B) is correct but I think it might be wrong. Please tell me if this is the correct answer.
