Who was Aunt March in the Little Women'

Hello everybody.
I have a question that may seem odd to you. Who was Aunt March in the 'Little Women'? Was she the sister of Mr March's father? Or was she the wife of Mr March's uncle? And why is the Aunt capital?
In my culture each one has a certain equivalent.
Thanks so much for the help ??.

Jamal 1315And why is the Aunt capital?

We capitalize titles and the like when they are treated as part of the name. If we are talking about my aunt Sally, it stays lowercase. If we are talking about Aunt Sally, it gets uppercase. In this case, it's a little different because "March" is a surname, and they actually call her "Aunt March" as a name per se.
