Who throws the most curveballs (on?) your way

Trying to keep co-workers from impinging on your productive time is ticklish enough; things get even more sensitive when you have to tell your boss

that you don’t have time to waste. But your supervisor is often the one who throws the most curveballs your way when it comes to using your time in the most productive way.

I am confused about the clause "who throws the most curveballs your way ."

Shouldn't it be "who throws the most curveballs on your way" or something else.

Thanks.
