who or that

Hello, I am new here, so please, do not be irritated if I do not use this forum properly.
My question is: Is the sentence below correct?

"It was my friend that recommended me this film"

Does it sound natural at all?
Or would it be better to write it: "It was my friend who recommended me this film"
