who-knows-what super-mouse listening

The following sentence describes this painting:

"In the foreground a simple mouse becomes complex: an escapee from the notorious laboratory experiment, it has a human ear for who-knows-what super-mouse listening."

I can not understand what "it has a human ear for who-knows-what super-mouse listening." mean. Can Anybody help, please?

Top answer

The expression “who knows what” means “unknown” and “super-mouse listening” indicates an improved set of hearing ability. The elaborate drawing is meaningless, but appears to be just a fun picture depicting animals that have been redesigned for better consumption.

“Observe the mouse in the centre foreground. It has a human ear protruding from above its head. In case the amazing hearing of a mouse wasn’t enough, it has this human ear to make him even more special. Why? No one knows!”
