Who did you had or have?

I wanted to ask my friend who he had for his last semester but I'm not sure if I can use past tense with "Did"

So which is proper gramar?

1. Who did you had for last semester?
2. Who did you have for last semester?

Thanks

Hello as regards the verbs, the second is the right sentence, in fact when you have the verb 'do' in the past tense form you don't have to put also the other verb (to have, in this case) in the past tense. Anyway I would like to ask you: what did you mean when you said who ? I don't get the meaning of the question

Yes, what did you mean?

As a teacher, or what?

Yes, I was referring "Who" as a teacher. Thank you

I see. Anyway I guess that the correct sentence would be 'what (or which) teacher did you have last semester?'. Maybe Marius can tell us more
