Who can help to compose a very short acceptance speech?

Dear English native speakers,
we have quite a big problem at hand or better my friend has a problem.

He is a German and works in a subsidiary of a big American company in Germany.
Once a year the boss gives an award to one member of his staff from Europe, Asia and America.
My friend will get this award this year for Europe. He will get the award and will have to say some sort of an acceptance speech in English. But he is very bad at English. And my English isn't that good either. He will have to say a few sentences.
We think he should say something like this:
"Many thanks for this award. I'm really happy about this. I see this award as a thankyou for the achievements of the past years and as an incentive for even better work in the future.
But there are other people too, who would be worthy of this award. Without all the other people it wouldn't have been possible to reach good results. The biggest gain for our company is that we have developed a powerful team, where in an open and honest atmosphere every man give his best. It is the team that we have formed and so we managed to solve the biggest challenges. So I see this award also as a thankyou for the whole PNA team."
Would you be so kind and see, if this is correct or, if not, would you make some improvements?
Many thanks for your help.
Michael

In that case get a quotation for a professional translation. Big American companies usually have budgets for that sort of thing, you know. It'll probably only cost about 1

My solution is the let the Europeans speak European, the Asians speak Asian, and the Americans speak American.

That would be my suggestion too, but in this situation it isn't quite appropriated, I'm afraid.
