Who can help me with this sentence?

Hi!

Who could tell me the difference in meaning between:

"I started drinking the soup"

" I started to drink the soup"

I do know the two forms, but in this case with such a verb as "start" we can use both forms so I was wondering whether there was a little difference between the two in a sentence as this one. Thank you!

No difference.

Idiomatically, we usually say 'eat', not' 'drink., when we use a spoon with soup.
