this is my first post in this forum.. I hope I'll find the answer of my question here

my question is:

which sentence is better to use? I made a documentary about the Famine in Africa

or

I made a documentary on the Famine in Africa

About your sentences, both are in common usage and sound natural to a native speaker. The latter, "on the famine...etc." carries the implication of on the topic or subject of the famine, so it is fine to say.

I would if I were writing it in any kind of formal context, such as a resume or letter for a fellowship, etc. In conversation or casual writing, either is fine.
