Hi Friends,

Example: I learned about the rich guy who sometimes gave money to the poor, but who mostly spent it on his family.

Is the structure okay? Is the additional 'who' (but who mostly ...) necessary?

Strictly speaking, no, but it helps the reader understand the structure of the sentence better. If it were my sentence, I'd keep the 'who'.
