Who

Are these sentences correct:
1-We went to Harry's place, who is a musician.
Meaning: We went to the place of Harry, who is a musician. (non-defining clause)
2-We went to the tall man's place who is a musician.
Meaning: We went to the place of the tall man who is a musician. (defining clause)

I think they are both wrong but I suppose one would hear sentences like 1 in informal conversation. Technically it seems to me that is incorrect. But I am not sure.

Gratefully,
Navi.
