White Snow

Is it okay to say "white snow". I do not think it sounds okay because the color of snow is always white so we do not need to mention it, right? And I think "white snow" implys there is more color than one. Am I right? So to avoid ambiguity, i think it's better not to use it, right? Please help me out.

You are right, though you have not given any special context that might require stating the colour, as in 'Be sure to eat the white snow, not the yellow snow!'
