Can I say,
(a) Some parents mowed the lawn and others / the others planted flowers.
(b) Some parents mowed the lawn while others / the other parents planted flowers.
(c) Some of the parents / Some parents volunteered to help them. One of the parents cleaned the window while others swept the classrooms floor.
(d) Some of the pupils swept the floor and some of them cleaned the drain.
