"while" and "whilst"

What's the difference between the usages of these two conjunctives?
I see the way they were being used seem to be interchangeable,
but that's just my thought.

Hi, Both while and whilst are conjunctions which carry the same meaning: during the time that something is happening. Whilst, however, is considered so unusual and stilted that you are almost unlikely to see it in use nowadays. Personally, I would not use whilst in informal contexts to prevent my feeling awkward.
