While ...

Hi,

While watching the nature, they were listening to Mrs Gimma's information about different kinds of vegetables and plants.

I wondered if I rewrite that sentence like the sentence in the following, would it be grammatically correct?

While they were watching the nature, they also were listening to Mrs Gimma's information about different kinds of vegetables and plants.

Thanks in advance.

The original is wrong. They can be this way: While w atching nature , they were listening to Mrs Gimma's information about different kinds of vegetables and plants. While they were watching nature , they also were listening to Mrs Gimma's information about different kinds of vegetables and plants.

  • The original is wrong.
  • They can be this way: While w atching nature , they were listening to Mrs Gimma's information about different kinds of vegetables and plants.
  • While they were watching nature , they also were listening to Mrs Gimma's information about different kinds of vegetables and plants.
  • Now they are grammatically correct but still not native.
  • I cannot understand what is going on.

virginia274Thank you.
It is not time to thank me. Your sentences are still strange.

Sorry Mister Micawber but GPY told me that why my sentence is strange. I have posted the story in "Separate way?"here :

Also thank you for correcting my sentences.

Anyway, If we omit the "Vegetables" Would both be correct?

That is a different text entirely. You have still not answered my question: Now they are grammatically correct but still not native. I cannot understand what is going on. What are they 'watching'? A garden?

Mister MicawberWhat are they 'watching'? A garden?
Mister Micawber, actually no, They went to the forest to observe plants and get information about them and recently I have understood that Vegetables are wrong because they are human made and can not be in forests.

People can find wild vegetables such as wild carrots and wild onions from the forests and fields. All commercially-grown vegetables were once wild plants. I would not call vegetables "human made."

There are articles on wild vegetables:

Then something like this:

While observing nature, they were listening to Mrs Gimma's lore about wild vegetables and other plants.
