Shouldn't the relative pronoun be "that"?

1. Never use a metaphor, simile or other figure of speech which you are used to seeing in print.

They may well do. Some editors and writers of style guides have some pretty rigid views. Fortunately, we mere mortals are not obliged to go along with them.
