CalifJimyou are trying to say that what they say is rude, or inadvertently rude because of their failure to think it through before saying it.

This is what I intended to say exactly!!

CalifJim it seems to me that you are trying to say too much in one sentence.

But I was wondering if it's too weird if I say like I said. I just tried to say like you say in my first quote in one sentence using the expression "think through". Yet I can sense that it'd be way clear and sound better to express my idea in separate sentences like you did, especially in spoken language.
