Which/that

Hello Teachers!

The part of the earth which/that does not get sunlight is called night/the night.

what are the correct choces (whic/that) (night/the night)?

I believe "that" is indicative of American English (AmE), which isn't to say that AmE speakers don't use "which" as a restrictive pronoun; they do. "that" is more common, that's all. As for 'the night', well, I'm not sure, but I'd go with 'night'.

As for 'the night', well, I'm not sure, but I'd go with 'night'. (I've never heard 'night' described that way.) Very cool, indeed.
