Which would be correct in this statement - of / for?

Hi~!

I was wondering which would be correct in this statement.

"The most wonderful idea of the next century."

or

"The most wonderful idea for the next century."

Top answer

Both are possible, but the first is highly unlikely, since the next century has not arrived yet, so it has produced no ideas. Use the second.
