Which word should I choose?

Could a teacher or native speaker please tell me how to correctly say these sentences please?

1 My shirt collar points up/upward.

2 Whom/Who, with a minimum of tast would want to have it in his or her living room.

3 It is amazing how/that no one wears their hair like that anyone.

4 This thread seems/looks/feels like dental floss.

5 Don't judge the movie (based) on it's ratings.

6 How can a movie be rated so badly? How can a movie have such bad ratings? It is rated 3.6 out of 10 stars.

7 No one but/other than him can beat her.

I have a quick question

Who in there right minds would buy the old one when the new one is available?

I'm thinking the tenses don't go together.

"Would" doesn't go with "when" and "is" or am I mistaken?
