Which word is correct?

Soaking or soaked
I ran until we was soaking/soaked and took shelter.

Which or where. It might be correct to phrase it differently.
I'm in a phase during which/where I eat lots of candy.

Don't use "where." "During which" is fine. I'd probably just use "in which."
