Either question within the numbered sets is acceptable. I would normally use v1 in #1 and "When is our graduation date?" as a substitute for the questions in #2.
In #1 I have a strong preference for v1. I would not use v2. The use of the computer is continuing from now into the future. Such continued activity is expressed with a continuous tense.
In #2 I have only a weak preference for v1. v2 also seems acceptable.
