Which vocabulary should I use?

How do you describe an action that in a forum you don't post and reply to any thread. You just scan information. Can I use "Lurking" or "diving"? Thank you!

Lurking is idiomatic here. The term is more commonly used in less formal communities, so you won’t encounter it very often on this site, for example.

(I’m not familiar with diving, though.)
