Vocabulary

Which verb?

Dear Teachers,

There are professions where someone watches over and teaches and plays and perhaps does other activities as well with children (excursions, etc.), like kindergarten teachers or children psychologists. With what verb or verbs (umbrella terms) can we express what they do?

Would you be so kind as to help me with this? Thanks.
