Which & That as pronoun

Which one is correct ?

a. Their culture is different from which you imagined.
b. Their culture is different from that you imagined.

I'm a bit unsure of option a, since I've never seen a noun phrase using "which", and also in another way, it also seems odd if "which" is seen as a relative pronoun in an adjective clause. Any suggestion ?
