How many times has he lied to us? (Present perfect, question)
I can't tell you how many times he has lied to us. (present perfect, indirect question.)
How many times is the start of a question, not a statement.
How about past simple? You can hear sometimes people use it for 'how many times'.
Or just counting times, like 'I hit bull's eye 7 times!' or 'it was three times in a row'
No they don't, but I thought of a broader context of amount of times management. I'm not a native English speaker, so my natural language sense makes me say things like 'I hit the bull's eye 7 times' instead of using present perfect on it. But the internet doesn't seem to like my taste, or maybe I'm completely off the point.
Thank you though.
