Which tense should I use?

Hello,

“Here you go, enjoy! Come and sit here, you must be tired. You know what? You showed up right on time, as usual. If you didn’t show up, I was going to call you.

Is the highlighted sentence correct or should I write:

If you hadn't shown up, I was going to call you.

Thanks,

Both terms are grammatically correct. I'm pretty sure you can use both without anybody correcting you. But using "hadn't" just seems more right, speaking-wise.
