Which tense should be used

My son sometimes plays a game in which I have to guess the things he kept in a bag or any container. If I fail to answer or guess, he often says:

Daddy, Do you give up ? He just wants to confirm that he got the point as I have conceded.
Is simple present tense ok in the given context or shout it be present perfect?

Please explain the reason for the correct tense used in the given context.
I am unable to decide among: present simple, present progressive and present perfect( do you give up vs are you giving up vs have you given up)
