Which tense is correct?

Hello, please is someone can explain me why sentence 1 is correct and not 2, thanks
1.The winning athlete has tested positive for the drug Nandolone. She will no doubt be disqualified.

Both are correct, except #2 needs a space before 'She'. The tenses are the same in #1 and #2.
