Which sounds natural

a. What is the language spoken in Belgium?
b. What is the language people speak in Belgium?

c. A man whose name I didn't know came to me.
d. A man whose name I don't know came to me.

Which of the above four sentences is natural to native speakers, and which is not?

T hey all seem natural. Note that C and D have different meanings. In C, you didn't know his name then, but maybe you know it now.

They all seem natural.

Note that C and D have different meanings.
In C, you didn't know his name then, but maybe you know it now. Or maybe you don't.

For the intended meaning, D is the logical answer. If you used 'didn't', it then may suggest you know his name now.
