Which sounds more natural?(must, should)

Good day


Which is correct or better?


I can't find my English textbook.

I(must / should)have left it in my classroom.


I saw this sentence in my high school end-of-term exam. My teacher said must is the only answer, but I'm not sure why you can't use should here.
