Which sentences are wrong?

He can work faster, and finish work on time, using my arm.

Worked out hard at the gym, he decided to rest at home.

He decided to rest at home after lifiting much weights at the gym, tired as hell.

Tired as hell, he decided to rest at home after lifiting much weights at the gym.

I think sentence 3 is wrong. What do you think?

1. Fine in terms of grammar.

2. The beginning should be "Having worked out hard..."

3. The word "much" isn't quite right. You could get rid of it completely, or use "heavy" or "lots of".

Yep, it helped me a lot.
But I have still a question about the 3rd sentence. I always thought that a noun phrase must 'touch' the subject/noun that is supposed to be modified, and that is why I thought sentence 3 was wrong.

What I thought was that tired as **** was modifying the gym, which is wrong.
He decided to rest at home after lifiting heavy weights at the gym, tired as ****.
