Which sentence of these 2 is the right one?

Hello everyone!

I just want to know which one of the follow sentences is the right one? And an explanation would be appreactiated, alright here the 2 sentences come:

The worst thing to do is watching myself getting beaten, or -

The worst thing to do is to watch/wach myself getting beaten?

Personally, I think the first one is the correct one, but I can be wrong?

- The worst thing to do is (to) watch myself getting beaten.

But I am not sure what you mean, and if that "beaten" is ok. And I am not sure about your first version, "The worst thing to do is watching myself getting beaten", but I think it's not impossible and it can be heard.

Hi! thanks for replying. the 2 lines from my previous text are just to give some examples on table, don't think of them.

What I'm trying to figure out is, if it's alright to put an ING-form after 'is' in examples like

The hardest thing to do is watching blablabla..
The most common thing people do is cooking blablabla.. - I mean, is it grammatically correct to put an ING. fo
