Which sentence is grammatically correct?

Hello everyone,
I'm talking about sth that happened in the past and continues to happen in the present, which sentence would be best grammar-wise:
- Ever since then, there hasn't been a day that I didn't hear her weep
- Ever since then, there hasn't been a day that I haven't heard her weep

Thank you
