Which sentence is correct? Help!

sentence1: This picture describes a flying eagle in the sky.
sentence2: This picture describes an eagle flying in the sky.

I want to know which one is acceptable? Could someone cast light on it for me?

The more common order is "an eagle flying in the sky."
However, we don't usually say that a picture "depicts" something.

The picture shows an eagle flying in the sky. The picture is of an eagle flying in the sky. The picture shows an eagle in flight. (We can assume it's in the sky.)
