Which sentence is correct?

"I'm already halfway done with this book."

"I'm already half done with this book."

Top answer

"done" is not the most usual way to describe progress through a book. "I'm done with this book" may have a nuance that you are fed up with the book, or giving up because it is not useful, or something like that. In normal circumstances "I'm already halfway through this book" would be more usual.
