Grammar

Which sentence is correct ?

1. He must have eaten my pizza before I came home.

2. He must have had eaten my pizza before I came home.

The scenario is assumed to set on present time point, a few hours after coming back home, with some thoughts given to infer the actuality of the event of eating pizza. Here I know the usage of Past perfect sentence requiring another past sentence to indicate an earlier sense of time, but does this rule apply to this deducing sentence ? Or simply "must have" would suffice to indicate the prior happening before "coming home" and also succeed in expressing the inferring tone? Thanks !

Thank you so much for your constant help AlpheccaStars !

Additionally, does the "have eaten" on "He must have eaten my pizza before I came home" actually is the result of
reduction from past present "had eaten" to "must have been" for the auxiliary added ? Thank you again !

No. The auxiliaries are not used with the past perfect.

You can use modal auxiliary verbs in these patterns:
