Which sentence is correct?

I don't know if the adverb comes before or after the verb! Which sentence is correct?

1. The jack rabbit warily watched the coyote.

2. The jack rabbit watched warily the coyotte.

Can you tell me why the answer is such? Thank you for responding with the answer.

Hi Guest,

Adverbials assume three main positions--

(1) At the beginning of a sentence (Warily, the jack rabbit watched the coyote.)
(2) In the middle, before the main verb (The jack rabbit warily watched the coyote.)
(3) At the end of the sentence (The jack rabbit watched the coyote warily).

As we wish to get the modifier as close as possible to it
