Which sentence between these two is grammatically correct?

Hi:) I have a question about the order of adjectives!
As far as I know, the proper order of adjectives is opinion-size-age-shape-color-origin-material, but here are some things I'm struggling with.

1. "I go to an Austrian local school or "I go to a local Austrian school"?
2. "I love French traditional food" or "I love traditional French food"?

*To which category do the adjectives "local" and "traditional" belong to?*
Should they go after/before the origin-indicating adjectives "Austrian" and "French"?

Thanks for the help Emotion: smile

Different people may come up with slightly different sets of categories, sometimes more than you have. "local" and "traditional" don't fit any of your categories.

  • They are more like "type", although "type" may be too general a term to be ideal for this purpose.
  • In any case, these are the natural orders for me: "I love traditional French food" "I go to a local Austrian school"
